The Cooper Skinner guesthouse functions as a retreat for visitors and as a private
workspace for its owners. Views to the garden to the north were maximized
with floor to ceiling glass. A large sloping metal roof provides shade
and directs rainwater towards the garden below. The use of insulated masonry
and metal panels in conjunction with a compact footprint maximize energy
